Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring is a treatment for the diagnosis and monitoring of blood pressure conditions. The data collected is studied by the doctor, who can produce a diagnosis in 24 hours.
The test is carried out while walking around. The person has to come to the Omega Zeta Clinic, where the nurse will fit the equipment and explain how it works.
The equipment is placed on the arm and, using a sensor connected to a recording device, it collects blood pressure measurements. The details it records are established in advance in a personalised way.
The person can carry on their normal life. The only recommendation is that they do not do strenuous sporting or aquatic activities that could lead to a false diagnosis.
The ABPM equipment is small, light, automatic and silent.
