Ozone therapy

Ozone is an allotropic variety of oxygen and a powerful antioxidant.

Ozone therapy treatment consists of applying a compound with a maximum of 5% ozone (O3) and a maximum of 95% oxygen (O2) produced by a generator for medical use. It may be administered:

  • Endovenously
  • By local injection
  • By vaginal or urethral insufflation
  • Rectally

It has medical benefits in the following areas:

  • Cardiovascular: it prevents thrombosis and strokes, as it generally improves blood circulation.
  • Anti-infection: it eliminates or deactivates pathogenic micro-organisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoa, etc.
  • Immunomodulation: it stimulates immunological, leukocyte and humoral defences, which increase organic defences to deal with external aggressions like infections, destroying the mutant cells that can cause cancer or autoimmune diseases.
  • Antioxidant: it eliminates free radical and stimulates antioxidant cellular enzymes, delaying cellular ageing processes.
  • Revitalising: it is an effective support treatment for functional regeneration in neurodegenerative diseases (dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s).
  • Regenerating: it regenerates the collagen in different organic tissues, stimulating the healing of wounds and ulcers.
  • Anti-inflammatory and analgesic: it reduces the production of prostaglandins (inflammatory cells), neutralising neuro-chemical radicals and the sensation of pain.
  • Detox: it improves the liver deintoxication function. It helps with the metabolism of fats in cases of excess cholesterol, triglycerides and high levels of uric acid.

It is considered to be most successful in treating:

  • Arthritis, particularly of the hip and knee
  • Systemic virus, bacterial or fungal infections
  • Intestinal and vaginal yeast infections
  • Autoimmune and neurodegenerative diseases and cancer
  • Difficulty with pregnancy and endometriosis
  • Cellulitis and localised fat
  • Discal hernias and vertebral column pain
  • Ulcers
  • Arteriosclerosis
  • Fibromyalgia and chronic disease
  • Revitalising and anti-ageing therapy
  • Stimulating medical treatments
